Operator and purpose

Operator: SEISMIC NOW editorial and operations team. The site supports research, education and analysis of global earthquakes, weather warnings and typhoons. A dedicated contact channel will open with the independent domain.

Disclaimer

Displays include preliminary USGS values, estimates and visual effects and may be revised. Ripples, colors and significance do not represent damage, local intensity, danger or emergency priority.

Weather warnings and typhoon information are a pass-through display of data already published by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) and the US Navy's Joint Typhoon Warning Center (via a University Corporation for Atmospheric Research mirror) — we produce no independent forecast or analysis. Always follow official information from JMA or your local authority for safety and evacuation decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for loss caused by use or temporary unavailability.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure

The site may later contain advertising, affiliate links and voluntary support. Compensation will not influence earthquake or weather data, significance or ordering. Paid and affiliate placements will be clearly identified.

Privacy

We currently collect no accounts, names, addresses or payment information. A necessary cookie stores language. Cloudflare may process connection data for delivery and security. The browser connects to OpenFreeMap, VersaTiles, USGS, JMA and UCAR (mirroring US Navy JTWC data). We will update consent before analytics or advertising cookies.
